Interviews are scheduled to take place as soon as possible after the closing date. Remote interview is available on request. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Canvassing will disqualify.
A Garda Vetting Disclosure, declaration of fitness for employment, and proof of adequate registration with the Teaching Council will be required for each appointment.
All appointments are subject to the approval of and sanction by the Department of Education and the post not being required for the redeployment process (confirmed by the Director of Redeployment).

Ashbourne Community School invites applications from suitably qualified/experienced teachers for the position of Co-ordinator of an Autism Special Class.
Experience in an ASD setting is desirable. The successful candidate will be required to co-ordinate and manage all aspects of provision with the ASD class.

Special Education Teacher (SET) x 22 hrs RPT
(commencing 27th August, 2026)
Ashbourne Community School invites applications from suitably qualified/experienced teachers for the position of Special Education Teacher (SET).
The successful candidate will join a collaborative and well established Additional Educational Needs (AEN) team and will play an important role in supporting students with a wide range of learning needs across the school. The role will include significant involvement in our ASD classes and in the continued development of inclusive educational practice throughout the school community.
