Show Racism the Red Card

TY students are partaking in “show racism the red card”. Show Racism the Red Card is harnessing the profile of sport to educate against racism. They are also supporting programmes that encourage integration and sport. Gareth Mullin, schools liaison officer with the campaign was joined in ACS by Conan Byrne, player with FAI Champions Sporting Fingal and spoke with students about the issue of racism in Ireland today and informed students as to how they could get involved in the campaign. Over the coming weeks a number of TY students will participate in action projects on the issue and it is hoped to have Gareth back in the school to speak to more students during our annual Intercultural Week in the New Year.
