The Committee would like to give a warm welcome to our new 1st and 2nd year members. These people made it through a tough interview process with our TY members. Unfortunately, due to an overwhelming number of applicants, not everyone made it onto the committee, but we hope they won't be too disappointed and will continue to be actively involved and take a no tolerance stance against litter in the school.
Our new members are:
-
Rachel Murphy John Dollard
- Ciaran Garrigan Hayley Nolan
- Leah Matthews Jordan Nolan
- Ciara Fox Meaghan Malloy Maguire
- Claire O' Doherty
Green Schools this year are still targetting the theme of "transport". To date this year, we have already built our new bike shed with locks and a security camera to ensure the bikes are safe during the school day.
Throughout the year we hope to have speakers in to talk to all year groups about bike and car safety.
By the end of the year we hope to have achieved our 4th Green Flag but this can only be done with your help. Students are asked not to forget our achievements in the areas of:
- Litter
- Energy Conservation
- Water Conservation
We want students to keep striving to make the school a more environmentally friendly place.
