All Ireland Design A Postcard Competition

At the recent An Taisce Green Schools Travel Competition 2008 “Fitter-Faster-Stronger”, Luke Brennan, 2nd Year Class Neptune won the Junior Secondary School Boys’ Category in the All Ireland Design a Postcard Competition.   Congratulations to Luke who was presented with a mountain bike, bike kit and a digital camera for the school on Thursday 5th June in Tailors Hall, Dublin.

Luke’s postcard is now being mass produced and used to promote healthy travel to school.   This is a campaign in which the Green Schools Committee of Ashbourne Community School is actively involved.
Well done to Luke on this fantastic achievement and also credit goes to his Art Teacher, Ms. Margaret Maher.
