If you are considering studying in the UK (inc. Northern Ireland) then you should visit the following website for further details: www.ucas.com

Students considering courses in the UK  in 2011 in medicine or certain other medical related courses or students who are hoping to study at Oxford or Cambridge would be advised to check the important dates section of the UCAS website over the summer as these areas have some earlier deadlines than many of the other courses.

It is important to note that Medical courses ( and many other courses in the UK Universities) require students to take an aptitude test eg HPAT, GAMSAT, BMAT). These aptitude tests have specific deadlines for application and students are advised to apply early to ensure a sitting in their location of choice. See the UCAS website for more specific information.
